How to Keep your body, soul, and spirit in synergy

Part of what motivates me to write is the desire to have a conversation with other people. We live in a unique time in which we do not need to be in the same room to have a conversation —all thanks to social media!

I believe that everything we do is dependent on the equilibrium among our body, soul, and spirit, with any disruption leading to undesirable consequences. Thankfully, these consequences can be avoided. It is a pleasure to draw the attention of you, my dear readers, to some of these pitfalls, as I believe that we can share and learn from one another.

Throughout the course of this year and the years to come, I will be focusing on how we can keep our body, soul, and spirit in synergy. I believe in loving my neighbor as myself. I also believe in honesty. My inspiration comes from my faith in God, the creator of the heavens, and the creator of everything material and immaterial. Yahweh, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, is the God I am referring to. There has been and will continue to be, a great push to separate us from our beliefs. Unfortunately, this is impossible and impractical because everybody has a belief system. Each person’s belief system shapes their worldview, which in turn, influences their actions and ultimately determines how they respond to any circumstances they face.

The advocates of this 'belief eradication' claim that they do not believe in anything. Ironically, believing in nothing is a belief system in itself. When somebody says they do not believe in anything, they are indirectly saying that they believe that everything came from nothing and nothing influences our actions apart from ourselves. Ultimately, there is nothing that we are accountable to and there is nothing at the end of this life.

This further implies that getting rid of other belief systems is indirectly trying to replace their beliefs with belief in nothing. How do we know nothing gave us everything? How do we know life is only flesh and blood? In other words, how do we know life is only material? We make an assumption that we know when we do not.

We should not be afraid to have a discussion about these issues because there is much at stake. What if there is another life after this one? Would you not consider investigating it? In business, the bottom line is important, as a business can't survive if it continues to suffer losses year in year out. That is why the words of Jesus have to be investigated in light of the return on how we invest our lives. He said, “What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet forfeits his soul?” There is something more profitable than all the riches that can be found in this world.

The so-called separation of faith from professional life is a myth. It is impossible to separate the body, soul, and spirit without dire consequences. The ultimate result is death! This is why it is crucial for us to ensure that the body, soul, and spirit are in harmony at all times. When this happens, your level of happiness, contentment, and productivity will increase.

Of what use is money if you are not healthy? If you are not healthy, how can you work? If you feel that life has no meaning and purpose, how will you be motivated to put in your all? Everything starts and ends with your health, and if you neglect it, you will lose everything.

Stick around with me as we explore the relationship among the body, soul, and spirit and how this relates to our different professions.

It is OK to share with others if you choose to.

Thanks
