Instead of SMART Goals do this

If you are into goal setting and new year resolutions, you must have heard about SMART goals. Instead of just having a wish list of what you desire to happen during the year, it is advisable to make sure that your goals are SMART. In other words, the goals have to be specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-based.

While SMART goals work for a while and under some circumstances, it is going to require more than SMART goals to deliver sustainable and lasting results. 

Many set these SMART goals in January, and by February, they have failed. We know SAMRT goals are not as SMART as they claim to be because many are still not able to break the different addictions in their lives. The obesity epidemic is on the rise.

What you need is to develop habits that will deliver whatever you need. 

The challenge is that you need time and hard work to establish habits that will last. To develop habits, you need a system that works. Without a system and accountability, you will fail.
