Your attention is often drawn to the things that are wrong or going wrong in your life. You spend more time wishing you had not made one mistake than think about the many successes you have had. For example, a presentation at work that does not go well may completely replace all the other presentations that went well. It seems by default humans tend to worry and take for granted the things that go well in their lives. When we are healthy and strong; drive to work and back without an accident or traffic jam we just take it for granted most of the time. Such an attitude is part of the reason we get frustrated in traffic jams and when illness and other unfortunate things interrupt our lives.
There is a lot to be thankful for and you should make it a daily habit too.
Be thankful for getting up in the morning
Be thankful for being here in the first place
Be thankful for having a job, many do not and will like yours
Be thankful in any condition you are, things could be worst
Be thankful for your age, many have not lived to see today
Be thankful for your parents, without them you will not be here
Be thankful for your feet, eyes, nose, hands, mouth and teeth
Be thankful that you are human
Be thankful for the pigmentation of your skin color
Be thankful for the rain, snow and sunshine
Be thankful for your family, siblings, uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews
Be thankful your friends
Be thankful for all you are already having;
Do not wait to lose it to appreciate it.
The number one reason to be thankful is that it is the right thing to do and it brings happiness, peace, and joy to you.
Therefore be thankful, for you are doing it for yourself.
Add your own reasons for being thankful.
The IEM APPROACH is a holistic way of life; the physical and spiritual must be in synergy for real, lasting, and sustainable success.
